Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.
— Anne Lammot, Writer

My name is Corinne.

Welcome!

I’m an experienced registered massage therapist based in Toronto (Queen West private practice) and Waterdown Village (OM Integrative Healthcare). I blend clinical and restorative therapies to help you recuperate from the demands of work, exercise, and a fast-changing world.

8 reasons you can relax confidently in my care:

Rest and recovery.

For me, massage therapy is more than clinical rehab and increased mobility (though I can help with those, too). It’s about holding space for regeneration and rest, and so I honor relaxation and de-stressing as a valid treatment objective. This is great news for you if you just want “me time,” or if you need to focus on a specific issue combined with relaxation. Sometimes, the perfect massage is simply a full-body treatment with chill music, hot towels, a focus on your sore lower back, and lots of attention to the scalp, face, and shoulders.

Microsleep 15.

Take a complimentary nap. After your massage, feel free to hang around for 15 minutes alone to nap, chill, drift, dilly-dally, stretch, breathe, dream, meditate. Eye mask, gentle sleep music, and calming essential oil is also available at no charge. As long as you have arrived to your appointment on time, you will have a full 15 minutes afterward to move slowly.

If you fall asleep, don’t worry: there’s a gentle alarm set for you to awaken and still have time to dress and refresh!

For a deeper rest, you may add another 15 minutes for 25.00 +HST. This gives you a full 30 minutes of quiet time to enter into Nidra (or stage II non-rapid eye movement “NREM” sleep), where the mind and body can begin to move into clarity and repair.

Note: the complimentary 15 minutes includes dressing time. If you would like a longer microsleep, choose an extra 15 minutes inthe booking process (25.00).

Pressure without pain.

“The pressure feels deep, but I’m falling asleep,” “This is like a relaxation deep tissue massage,” and “My body trusts you!” are some of the treasured comments I’ve received from my clients in treatment. I’ve spent my career honing my deeper techniques and observation skills in order to provide consistent quality of contact for every shape and size of human that arrives on my table. This translates to a safe, enjoyable, effective experience for you at any pressure. If a less-comfortable technique like trigger point therapy is indicated, I will discuss it with you to ensure that informed consent is in full effect. That said, my default style is broad, firm, flowing, but specific when needed. I’m well-versed in medium, light and lymphatic pressures as well.

Clinical skills, holistic values.

My treatments blend the clinical, intuitive, and energetic. I am thankful for a two-sided education in traditional holistic principles on one side, and a purely medical curriculum on the other. Since becoming a manual therapist in 2015 with my beginnings in Lomi bodywork, I draw from both worlds in a satisfying, safe, and effective way with respect to myself and my clients. The effects of a “simple” relaxation massage comprise a world of systems all working in synchronized flow, and I like being a source of new information for others to learn something new from. Therefore, I regularly review my foundational education as well as new research in order to best serve the muskuloskeletal needs of the moment.

I received certification in hospital specialization in college. However, I recognize the body’s innate self-healing capacities and I loyally support its singular mission: to maintain balance (homeostasis).

Quietude.

I am a blissfully focused therapist who values golden silence for maximum therapeutic results during treatments. That said, I am happy to conversate during your treatment a) whenever you initiate conversation, b) when I need to talk about a detail pertaining to your treatment, or c) whenever it feels natural and called-for to speak! I can be as chatty as anyone before and after the table work!

Listening skills.

Need lots of time on your tight hips? Shoulder blade pain? Jaw and face tension? Wherever it may be, that is where I will pay special attention. I may also treat supporting (synergist) and opposing (antagonist) muscles for a more effective outcome, with your agreement. Either way, you can rest assured that your areas of concern will receive generous focus, even with a full-body treatment.

Professionalism.

As a wellness and healthcare provider, I am held to stringent standards in practice that include but are not limited to hygiene, consent, ethics, and privacy. Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) operate under:

  • The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario’s Standards of Practice

  • Health Consent Act 1996

  • Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)

  • Ongoing continuing education

RMTs adhere to client-centred care, acting on behalf of the well-being of their patients/clients. You can read this public awareness info sheet by the CMTO that explains more about your rights as a consumer of registered massage therapy. Professionalism, to me, also means providing clear, friendly communication and remembering important details of our interactions that help to personalize every treatment.

The little things.

Filtered water in real glass. Complementary essential aromas. Steamed towels, organic oils for your skin, cotton linens, and natural light filtering through the windows of a brick-and-beam space. Just a few of the details at my Queen West Toronto location that I enjoy passing on to you.

My Background:

I have a background in music, theatre, yoga and weight training, and a diverse full-time bodywork practice that began in 2015. I recognize and honour the body’s self-healing capacities and I loyally support its singular mission: to maintain balance (homeostasis). I love outdoor education, drumming, singing, and deep diving into many topics through books, articles, and courses. I’ve been fortunate to have worked with diverse groups as a coach, producer, and outdoor leader. You can find my massage therapy coaching bio here.

Education & Certifications:
I received a Hospital Specialization through the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Advanced Sports Techniques through the Canadian Sports Massage Therapists Association, and Lomilomi Advanced through Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga. I have training and certificates in TMD (temporomandibular dysfunction) and Buccal/Facial techniques and continually study and practice in that area. I attended George Brown in 2024-25 to begin offering clinical skin care that will complement my signature face series. I am also currently in mentorship for sound meditation facilitation, an offering I’ll be launching in 2025 as I move towards new therapeutic landscapes. I’m a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

Insurance Processing:
I provide insurance receipts at my private practice that are recognized by your coverage provider. At my other locations, direct billing is available.
